Cellar Collective is a wine bar with real character — where wine, food, and atmosphere come together in one bold, flavour-packed, slightly rebellious symphony. Located in the heart of Cape Town, it’s home to one of the city’s most exciting South African wine collections, with a special focus on signature in-house labels that have already earned cult status.

Boring, uptight tastings? Not here. At Cellar Collective, wine becomes a conversation, not a lecture. Every Monday, our sommelier opens 15 new wines — ready for guests to taste, discover, debate, and fall in love with. It’s interactive, informal, and full of flavour.

Wednesdays are all about the bubbles — Bottomless Bubbly brings unlimited Méthode Cap Classique, light bites, and a midweek vibe worth dressing up for.

And on weekends, the space comes alive with sound: vinyl sets from local DJs, intimate jazz sessions, and live performances by some of South Africa’s most exciting artists. This is not just a wine bar — it’s a stage.

The food? As intentional as the wine. Think wood-fired pizzas, handmade dumplings, hearty seasonal soups, and generous charcuterie boards stacked with artisanal cheeses and cured meats.

Cellar Collective isn’t just about wine. It’s about people, stories, and the taste of life — uncorked.

    We have reserved a table for 7 people, our last night in Cape Town, got a confirmation. When we arrived (it took us 25 minutes uber ride), the place was closed. No one was there. In a strange way, we were a bit relieved because the area looks too dodgy, with trash everywhere and homeless people seating near the bar and with the amount of great placed in Cape Town, this Cellar Collective is simply a waste of time. DO NOT GO there unless you want to do a random roundtrip ride on Uber.

    We loved the wine tasting, Migliarina wines and Carsten were brilliant. We waited a bit long for our cheese platter but overall had a lovely evening.
