    Very disappointed with the service and quality of the food. Resturant will not last if it continues to serve such badly prepared meals, bland and overpriced.

    Mash was bland, meat tasty over cooked , sauce tasteless service mediocre.

    Extremely disappointing Christmas experience. We booked well in advance for Christmas lunch, including the Christmas platter, and arrived on time at 2pm as per our reservation. Despite this, we were only served at 16:30 a wait of over two hours. What made it worse was watching walk-in customers, who had no bookings at all, being served before us. The service was poorly managed and disorganised, and it was clear the restaurant overbooked themselves for Christmas. As a result, both the quality of service and the overall experience were completely compromised. The Christmas platter was absolutely not worth the R1000 price tag. The food did not match the cost or the expectations set, and we would have been far better off ordering from the main menu instead. Christmas lunch is meant to be a special occasion, but this turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor planning, poor service, and not something I would recommend or repeat.

    We appreciated that food was well cooked and a good variety was presented so beautifully. However, the overall experience did not match what was communicated during the booking process as well as at the reception desk on our arrival. The expectations created beforehand were not met, and we felt misled. When we called to book a table last week, an impression was created that only the platter would be served so as to eliminate "confusion in the kitchen". On the contrary, food servings were so different from table to table, implying that the platter was pushed down our throats, we observed. We came in with this impression that every patron would be served similar platter. We established that the initial decision to serve only the platter was reviewed by the restaurant but this review was never communicated to us at the reception desk or by the waitress. We could have selected meals with a lot of meat, like 2 × 600g selloin meal for example. We are meat lovers. Very little meat was served in the platter for 2 individuals whose blood is classified as group O+. There was an attempt to push our appointment from 12h00 to 17h00, most probably to dump left overs from regular cooks during the day to platters later in the day, I think. This whole experience was not good value for money. Better clarity and honesty during booking and reception would greatly improve the experience.

    Waited over two and a half hours for our food to arrive, and then it arrived cold. My girlfriend ordered the calamari starter, it was not eatable and was sent back. I asked for my steak to be done medium rare, it arrived medium to well. Due to the wait I didn’t even complain! Worst Xmas lunch at a restaurant ever!
