    Excellent service off the bat. We were tricky guests, changing times and adding guests to our booking, but the staff were generous and efficient in accommodating us on the back veranda. The white linen and music were a nice touch to a stunning Winters lunch on that step. We appreciated that they could squeeze a few more tables into that space, as is so common in the restaurants around the Cape, but we appreciated the space and quiet, and noticed wanting guests being turned away from the veranda, securing such. The music was tasteful, the food portions generous and the staff attentive. I would have liked more time with the wine list but it sounded like the bar was low on stock. That was surprising considering the wealth of wines in the area - Chef & Co could do well to draw from the variety and ensure their by glass and by bottle stocks are well topped. Finally, the food portions were generous and my smoked trout in my "Smoked Salmon" harvest salad was delicious. My friends all enjoyed their hake and chips, lips smacking afterwards. I hope this establishment can weather the changing highs and lows of the Tulbagh seasons, so it can continue to mature with the other battle hardened kitchens of the area.

    The combination of flavors was incredible the presentation impeccable and a group of people with highest expectations regarding food and wine pairing were most impressed!I would recommend it without hesitation. Just a small comment- the price for some local wine/ champagne is probably on the high side and makes wine pairing very expensive

    Our waitress Patricia was very friendly, fish and chips was great and so was the sirloin! Presentation was wow! Blueberry cream cheese , YUMMY! This place is classy, attention to details ! They added value to Tulbagh, looking forward to my next visit!
