    Many things went wrong, one of those evenings. As I ordered Gluten Free salad I was presented with 2 items crackers and wheat in my salad. Bad to be replaced. 2 of my guests ordrred a filet and it was over salted had to be returned. Our chips were soft, soggy and tasted of old oil. Then we ordered 4 Springbokkies they rang up anotber drink and we were presented with the wrong shots. Hmmmmm ribbs ordered were fine.

    We took some friends from overseas and had an exceptional meal even by oversea standards. We had prawn and mussel starter ,chef and co salad, steak and lentil boobotie - we loved the local touch like spekboom salsa and the tempura prawns and chips were deliciously crisp, and the rump ordered rare came just perfect which is always our most difficult request.The ambience in the glass terrace with fans going rather than aircon was a lovely touch - definitely will be back

    A great restaurant with well-made, authentic food, made with a clever twist. I can definately recommend this to anybody visiting Tulbagh.
