Step into the gastronomic heart of the hotel and take your seat in an exclusive, hidden dining space. Watch in wonder as dishes are prepared right before your eyes—then uncover the inspiration behind each creation.

Inspired by the seasons and the desire to reduce our footprint on this wonderful land, the chefs have put their minds and attentions on sourcing, when possible, local organically grown produce that has the smallest impact on our environment. They deal with likeminded farmers and producers who share a desire that our children must also be able to share this land’s harvest with their children. They have excluded meat and fish intentionally and chosen to showcase and celebrate the wonderous bounty of Western Cape agriculture.

    The Chef's Table at Mount Nelson was an unforgettable dining experience and one of the highlights of our trip. The unique opportunity to enjoy a world-class meal right in the kitchen created an atmosphere that was both intimate and exciting, allowing us to witness the culinary team in action. Our server, Lazarus, was outstanding, providing exceptional service with warmth, professionalism, and attention to every detail. Combined with the incredible food and unique setting, it was a truly memorable evening that we will be talking about for years to come.

    What an experience!! Two tables and the chef Isaac cooking for us. The set menu was incredible and delicious. The wines pairing with the food couldn't be better chosen. Thank you the Chef's Table for this amazing experience! Looking for a unique experience? Go for it !!

    Chef isaac and our host lazarus were utterly charming. The food and service were outstanding. The pastry chef outdid herself. It was a unique experience with only two tables. I will definately be back!
