We, at Chefs Warehouse at Beau Constantia, like to keep things fresh and fun for both our patrons as well as our chefs with a seasonal and produce-driven menu that changes regularly, with our signature set menu experience.

Situated at the top of the Constantia Valley, we trust that you will join us and enjoy one of the best views in Cape Town.

Please note that our kitchen takes its last food orders for lunch at 14:30 and for dinner at 20:30.

[Regrettably, we do not allow children under the age of 10 in the restaurant and do not have a children's menu to offer.]

Gourmet Guide Description

It takes a maverick, accomplished chef to change the landscape of fine dining in the Cape. Expect exceptional cuisine that is mouth-watering and memorable, served in a relaxed and real way. Ivor Jones, aka ‘Mr Jones’, may be in love with the finer things, but his focus is on good, solid, beautiful cooking that is uncomplicated (in his mind, not the diners!). There’s no dry ice or poncy serving, it’s authentic, delicious and world-class.

Panoramic, undulating green vineyards lead into the ocean and sky. Undistracted by awards and accolades, here’s a chef who is humbly confident of his talent, perfected during 17 years in the kitchen. He’s changed his offering from the much-loved and lauded ‘tapas for two’ perfected by Liam Tomlin; now a diner can choose one of two dishes in four courses, or an eight-course tasting menu, with oysters before…and if you have space, a delectable dessert as a climax. After sipping on a zesty cocktail that will vicariously transport you to some Asian paradise, enjoy the well-choreographed wine pairing.

“Diners feel like they are getting absolutely spoilt after an ‘oh my gosh’ experience,” says Ivor. “We’ve worked more on front-of-house service, with increased briefings, sit-downs with the team, and more individual training on tableside manners.”

There’s a hero in every dish. Although the team, under chef Chad Graham can operate expertly in his absence as he gathers inspiration from his travels, Ivor is still the hero of Beau Constantia.

We are frequent diners at CW Beau as it has been my hubby’s favorite for years now. Unfortunately, this last visit was a stark difference to our usual CW experience. We arrived at 7.30pm for dinner and ate at a reasonable pace but by the time we received our last course (pre-dessert) it felt like the staff had started to clean & prep the restaurant for closing and as if everyone was waiting for us to leave. Needless to say ambience was disappointing! Not the CW vibe that we know!

To much "trafic" caused by the service. There was every minute a service staff at our back or in front. No one needs a glas of water or wine which is half full top up again and again. Furthermore, the Pod was used which further increased the "trafic" as we were sitting close to the outside door.

Brilliant food, amazing value for money. Arguably one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in South Africa. Service lost focus toward last third of the meal. Water not refreshed, needing to find a server to order more wine, dessert and coffee as well as the cheque.
