The Bailey is located at 91 Bree Street in the heart of the Mother City, Cape Town. Set in a historic building , the Bailey is designed in the classic tradition and inspired by some of the grand all-day cafés and restaurants of Europe.
The Bailey is a collaboration between Liam and Jan Tomlin, and the owners of Tintswalo Lodges (Lisa and Warwick Goosen, and Gaye and Ernest Corbett).
Tomlin continues his culinary magic at this new address, with Head Chef Jacques Grové taking the reins as Head Chef, assisted by Dian Botes as Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef San-Marie Pienaar.
The Bailey Café
On the ground level, the glamorous lobby café features a patisserie with delicious cakes, tarts, pastries and fresh juices. It serves all-day English or Irish breakfast, as well as brunch, light lunch and High Tea. The café is open for pre- and post-theatre drinks and eats, serving champagne and wine all day until closing, with last orders at 9pm.
The Old Bailey
The Old Bailey Whiskey Bar with its rooftop terrace is evocative of top-end members’ clubs and bars in London and New York. Stylish table service offers an extensive whiskey collection, premium wines and cocktails are served in a sophisticated space.
Dress-code is smart for The Old Bailey, inviting guests to relax and socialise within a like-minded community.
