Mr Chau & his gargantuan gaggle of foodie friends just LOVE FOOD.
And after extensive travel & existential eating around Asia, we have brought the mostest & the bestest & the deepest flavours back home to you.

Why is Mr Chau called Chunky Chau? Because Mr Chau is not 'fat'.

‘Chunky’, on the other hand, can be used to refer to someone who is short and muscular. Being short and broad shouldered, he looks heavy. Unlike ‘fat’, ‘chunky’ does not have a negative connotation. In fact, according to some books on usage, native speakers sometimes use the word to indicate affection.

The restaurant has a playful and vibrant interior that’s full of character — a fun atmosphere that makes a strong first impression. The food is genuinely delicious, clearly made with care and quality ingredients, though the pricing is a bit on the high side. Sadly, the experience was let down by poor service. Waiters awkwardly leaned across our table to serve other guests, and seemed unfamiliar with basic menu items — for example, we asked for a flat white and were met with confusion. We had booked for brunch on a Sunday and arrived at 10:30, only to be told we could only order from the “eat-all-you-can” lunch menu… which didn’t start until 12:00. When we questioned this, the waitress insisted there were no other options, and we were about to pay for our coffees and leave. Fortunately, a manager stepped in and quickly resolved the issue, offering us the breakfast menu — which, strangely, was available all along. In short: great food, cool vibe, but the front-of-house team needs serious training. The inconsistency and lack of basic service etiquette unfortunately made it hard to enjoy what should have been a lovely brunch.
