Opened in 2006, Clico Boutique Hotel is perfectly situated in the tranquil, leafy and upmarket suburb of Rosebank in Johannesburg, South Africa. Clicos location is convenience at your fingertips being just 900 metres from the Rosebank Gautrain station which means business hubs such as Sandton can be reached within five minutes by train and OR Tambo International Airport is only 20 stress-free minutes away. Ideally and centrally located, Clico is within walking distance of the newly refurbished Rosebank Mall as well as the Rosebank Clinic.

Clico was established by Jeanette Schwegman, who wanted to cater for travel-weary and discerning guests. Poised to accommodate corporate guests as well as leisure seeking tourists, this 60-year old Cape Dutch building is an engaging mix of old and new. The name Clico was inspired by Jeanettes passion for champagne, with her favourite being Veuve Clicquot.

Guests who prefer a more intimate, somewhat unpretentious establishment which offers attention to all the important details, as well as personalised interaction with staff, find Clico to be their first choice.

Clico meets your needs by offering comfortable rooms, five star cuisine and top quality function facilities. Rates are highly competitive (weekend reductions and room only specials available) with free wifi, all taxes and coffee & tea making facilities included in all rooms. Bed & Breakfast rates include a full breakfast served in the Clico Restaurant. Clico Restaurants cuisine is unique and known for its element of fine dining, comprising daily seasonal menus which can be adjusted to personal dietary requirements and allergies.

Clicos conference facility is unique, diverse and ideal for smaller and more intimate events and conferences, fitted with the best and latest AV equipment and featuring sliding doors that open onto the garden with an outside patio area for drinks and canapes.

The quality of the food is not nearly up to scratch. Vegetarian options are awful. The steak was bland & tough. The duck was pretty much raw. The 'icy peaches' dessert is amateur with strange flavours & textures. The prices for what you get is shocking. The bill came to R2400.00 and two out of four people didn't drink alcohol. We've tried a few times now to have a great experience, but it never seems to happen, so it was a last time for us. Service was friendly but all over the place. One waiter barely spoke English and didn't know what a 'cortado' coffee is... not good enough in a "boutique" restaurant. The ambience is lovely. Sorry but once bitten, twice shy. Not again.
