Coco Safar® is an all-day luxury coffee, bakery, and café brand and destination that combines the elegance of an old-world café with the casual allure of a neighborhood eatery. Coco Safar St-John's is our new location right in the heart of Sea Point. We serve cosmopolitan food for breakfast and lunch (and will soon serve dinner too from Tuesday to Sunday evening). We also bake collections of world-class croissants and savory goods, hand-craft patisserie and cakes, and we roast and brew specialty coffee. Come and experience French flair in a coastal cool ambiance, and pure joie de vivre on one of our many terraces.

    Lunch was a failure and we had to go to another restaurant. You can't allow a reservation on Dineplan for 1:30pm for lunch and then when we arrive tell us that the kitchen closes at 2pm

    Although we booked 5 days in advance the cake selection was very limited and not appealing. We decided on croissants which was ok but not what we were planning on having. As we left the cake display was suddenly filled with a whole batch of new cakes which was very appealing but we were not informed earlier that there was fresh stock on its way. A pity as we were really looking foward to the coco safar experience but were greatly disappointed. Nothing was special this place. The waiter was however very friendly. Maybe we just visited the wrong time

    We didn’t stay! We booked for a high tea through the website but the high tea was not available! And nothing was mentioned on your website

    This was our first time at a Coco Safar. Unfortunately taxi strikes affected the service, however the manager stepped in and did his utmost to ensure everyone was looked after. The menu was limited, due to their being only one chef on duty, so again this impacted our experience - but we all totally understood considering the situation. One disappointment was the 4 coffees that were ordered were luke warm/borderline cold and were served spilt on the wooden boards. Other tables received coffee on a board with water and a small madelaine (i think) while we all just received only the coffee - so not sure if they had ordered something special or different. Even with the second round of coffees we ordered we did not receive what I assume is the full coffee service. The croissants looks fantastic - will have to go back for those.
