The food was delicious and served promptly with good service from the waiter. However I did find it a bit pricey considering we were there to do our clay pottery. I feel like we should have maybe been given a choice from a smaller menu that might be a bit more cost effective and maybe included in the price of the pottery

The service just made everything fall short. I am extremely disappointed with the service at this branch. We arrived on time for our booking and were ushered in by Sheera, who assigned Winnie as our waitress. Unfortunately, her service was so mediocre that I’m struggling to express just how awful the experience was. She briefly explained the painting process, took our drink orders, and then disappeared without returning to take our food orders. We eventually had to flag down another waiter, James, to assist us. James, however, only made the situation worse. He took our order at 10:40 but did not return until 20 minutes later—with just the salt, pepper, and utensils. There was no update on our food, no explanation for the delay, and no indication of how much longer we’d need to wait. By 11:20, frustration had set in as nothing made sense—why were we waiting so long, and why wasn’t anyone addressing the delays? It wasn’t until much later that we were told the delay was due to a larger table, which had arrived late and apparently demanded immediate attention. Kitso eventually came to apologize on behalf of her colleagues, but at that point, we were already exhausted and starving. We had specifically planned our day, finishing a 5km hike at 9:45 to arrive on time for our 10:00 AM booking. Leaving to find another restaurant 10km away wasn’t an ideal option. The food finally arrived at 11:48—nearly two hours later. Imagine sitting there hungry and waiting for that long! To make matters worse, the manager, Kristen, came over, but her response left much to be desired. She neither reassured us nor showed genuine care about the situation. It felt as though she didn’t understand our frustrations—or perhaps she simply didn’t care. This experience has made me wonder if our treatment was influenced by the fact that we are young Black women. Why else would a larger, late-arriving table be prioritized over us, while our needs were dismissed as unimportant? Kristen even mentioned prioritizing the larger table, as though we didn’t deserve the same level of service. As if to add insult to injury, Kitso later returned with a “peace offering”—fudge and a promise of a 10% discount on our next visit. They also offered complimentary champagne, which felt tone-deaf considering there were untouched drinks on our table—a glass of strawberry juice and a cappuccino. Offering champagne without regard for safe drinking practices felt irresponsible. I insisted the 10% discount be applied to our current bill, as there’s no way I would leave this situation unresolved. Finally, the head chef came to apologize, but we were given the same excuse about prioritizing the larger table. This is unacceptable. Your booking system should provide clear communication about how busy the establishment will be, and provisions should be in place to manage both large and small groups effectively. All we wanted was a decent, enjoyable experience, but this branch failed us on every level. Don’t go to this branch especially if you are a small party of Black young women.

Good day Takalani Thank you so much for your valued review. We really do rely on feedback to better our offering. I believe all efforts were made on the day to make up for the initial bad experience from all levels of staff and management. We treat all customers with the same level of respect and dignity and I do believe NO discrimination at all was shown to you and your guest. We do wish you well and hope to see you soon. Look out for our WhatsApp to alert you when your beautifully glazed items are ready for collection. Many Blessing onto you young lady Regards
