Gourmet Guide Description

A scenic drive past fynbos takes you to the piece of heaven. Creation takes pride of place on Paradise Road, commanding the best views of the Hemel en Aarde valley. A patchwork of vineyards are interspersed with granola, olive orchards and fynbos.
Sip Creation’s Madame Meilland rosé, snack on a seaweed crisp so apt for the area while studying the menu. There is something for everyone, but treat yourself to the wine-and-food pairing. There is a tempting plant-based wine and food pairing.
Each season is heralded with a new, innovative menu, inspired by the terroir and co-owner, Carolyn Martin’s extensive travels. She shares ideas and trends with Eleanor and her team. Their motto, ‘What grows together, goes together’ shines in menus based on fresh, locally grown produce meticulously paired with their wines. Only the finest seasonal ingredients from selected local Overberg suppliers are used.
Six Chapters are included in this tasting, a story crescendo-ing to a grand finale. Most chapters are paired with two wines, each of which brings out different characteristics of the dish. Very knowledgeable waiters describes the why of each pairing. Sensory objects are added to some of the dishes.
It is the soul of our land that inspired the name Creation. Creation also named for the exuberant spirit of innovation and creativity of the farm, aptly so.

    Visited Creation with a big ladies group. It was amazing, great food, great wines, great nibbles, great fun and in all in nice setting. Highly recommended
