under one roof — a celebration of South African heritage and Asian flair, led by Executive
Chef Jaycee Ferreira.
At East City Grill, Ferreira’s flame-led cooking and local Wagyu define a menu rooted in
South African tradition yet shaped by Asian influence and Cape Town’s modern edge.
Across the room, Yakiniku offers an immersive Japanese-style grill experience inspired by
Tokyo’s smoky yakiniku-ya, where guests cook, share, and connect around the flame.
Housed within a landmark hemp building designed by Wolf & Wolf Architects, it’s two
flames, one destination, and a new rhythm for the city.

    Pristine environment, incredibly gorgeous and creative cocktails , extensive wine selection , flawless presentation of incredible dishes and slick service . An excellent evening in every sense . A 5 star experience. .

    We were a group of 10. Loved that we were taken to the 'lounge' to look at the menu and decide on drinks before being taken to our table. Mike, our waiter was extremely attentive, really good. We shared starters (calamari/Prawns/cheese soufflé/bitterballen), which were absolutely outstanding. Definitely recommend doing starters. We ordered burgers/rib-eye/sirlion/rump. All done to our preferences. It was a lovely evening and recommend going.
