Located at 84 Harrington Street, East City Grill & Yakiniku brings two dining concepts
under one roof — a celebration of South African heritage and Asian flair, led by Executive
Chef Jaycee Ferreira.
At East City Grill, Ferreira’s flame-led cooking and local Wagyu define a menu rooted in
South African tradition yet shaped by Asian influence and Cape Town’s modern edge.
Across the room, Yakiniku offers an immersive Japanese-style grill experience inspired by
Tokyo’s smoky yakiniku-ya, where guests cook, share, and connect around the flame.
Housed within a landmark hemp building designed by Wolf & Wolf Architects, it’s two
flames, one destination, and a new rhythm for the city.

    Food was very good and the service the best in Cape Town! Charmaine and Nigel (Somm) were amazing! Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

    Good food. Attentive (but not intrusive) service. Don't allow BYOB (corkage) but made an exception for us.
