The new kid on the block, Ember & Oak offers a taste sensation with big passion, on small plates. Enjoy a wine slushie on the patio while feasting on their fun and whimsical snacks and taking in the view of the Constantia Valley.

Tim and Judy have an extensive background in the hospitality industry and have always believed in the community of sharing and celebrating. In this way, the perfectly balanced menu has been designed in small plates that can be ordered and shared. There is a kids menu on offer, so everyone is covered - guaranteeing an opportunity to sit back and un-wine-d.

Still one of my favourite restaurants to go to for a treat… so glad they are open again.

A level of excellence seldom seen in the restaurant landscape of today. Amazing food. Amazing gees. Brilliance.

The food was refreshingly modern and tasty but portion sizes of the proteins were a tad on the small side at the price. Even though the waiter was very sweet we had to go look for him inside a couple of times to attend to our table. The tiny toothsome bonbons for dessert were delicate but perhaps priced for the European market instead.

I love Ember & Oak. Their selection of small plates evolves and the dishes are exceptionally well executed and flavoursome. Tim has been exceptional at accommodating me with pregnancy requirements exacerbated by annoying allergies - though I request the menu in advance to avoid disrupting service too much. I haven’t missed out on flavour or variety.

Fish sticks have no texture, pork lollipops need salt, lamb flatbread was cold in the middle and the dough underdone. We were also given the wrong order. Generally a really disappointing experience given it was rather empty. The menu isn't as good as last season's and poorly executed. Pity.
