    Food and service was great, staff were friendly and attentive. We had the squid and beef tartare to start, both dishes were tasty and portion size was perfect. For mains we had ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly accompanied by crushed potatoes and bernaise and wagyu burger which was really good, for dessert we had malva pudding which was a perfect end to the meal followed by a anniversary plate, a nice touch to our dining experience.

    Food was fantastic and great value for money. Service started great but felt a bit forgotten later in the evening. All in all, a great evening!

    Just one bemol, they have never distracted a deposit of 450R

    We chose the Westcliff because it was my late son in law's favorite place and it was his daughter's 15th birthday. The new refurbishment is really lovely ~ the staff are a delight and the dining area is perfect. It's taken me a few days to send this review because I needed to ask everyone in our 7 pax party their opinions. I was sadly disappointed with my pork belly ~ I didn't feel it had been cooked that day ~ my husband said his lamb shank was okay ~ my three daughters all left most of their chicken salads and the steak one too. The only one who said he was happy was my grandson with his T-bone and Mac n Cheese. He is a sports boy so will eat anything. My granddaughter had a Mexican dish and ate it without complaints ~ but it was three small mouthfuls and she's a small eater. I am a chef and my one daughter owns a catering company so we like and know good food. Our celebration night didn't have any of it. I did appreciate your staff bringing my granddaughter a birthday treat dessert so thank you for that. I feel for the prices you charge the food could really be better. Maybe your menu is too big and attention can't be adequately paid to each dish.

    I know that lots than stellar reviews are not what a business likes to receive - I worked in the Lodge industry and used them as an incentive to improve ~ so thank for responding
