    I’m an ex SA in living in Australia. I had my honeymoon at The Westcliff over 25 years ago. I love Joburg and loved the Westcliff. The view is incredible from up there - but sadly the food and service was very poor. It was served Cold and dry and the food that took forever to arrive !!!. In the two weeks of my holiday I will rate the food at your restaurant the as the worst food and service experience in Joburg. Sadly I would not recommend your restaurant. I’d suggest to people to go up for view, but not to eat. I need to be honest, so that management can get their act together. Your Bernard Fridman

    It was my birthday the 27/04 and I was excited to spend it at a restaurant that was once fine dining with impeccable service however, Tshepiso the waiter made it unpleasant. My mom ordered a beef fillet and something that looked like a tuna salad was delivered. The BBQ wings were tasteless, the Parmesan cheese fries he recommended were disappointing as well. Tshepiso was not attentive at all and seemed very misinformed about the menu. We asked him for a different table and he since said he was going to clean it but he never did, he seemed to have delivered hand towels to every table beside ours and forgot about us. We asked for the bill and that even took time we decided to go up to reception ourselves to make the payment. The manager saved the day and offered a complimentary drink and birthday cake but our evening and my birthday was already ruined. I really enjoyed my time the first time I went which was over 2 years ago and was excited again to experience it but unfortunately it didn’t happen. The ambience and view are still breathtaking though.

    Flames truly lived up to its name. Food, scenery, ambiance were on point. I am coming back for sure.

    The place and hotel is top class and that's what you would expect with their restaurant too....I booked for 2pm I found that their menu is closed for lunch. I was then approached by a rude Lady to give me the menu they use for hotel guests which was ridiculous in prices...steak and chips was R700 on the menu that should give you an idea....she then told me she can't do anything about the menu being closed. The stuff kept on looking at us as we stole something by asking for a normal menu. It was my birthday I didn't expect such from a big hotel...the manager finally came to rescue the mess and tried to redeem the situation...I am not going there again unless is just drinks and for the views

    Everything is exceptional, I don’t think there is any room for improvement. Top notch class. Can’t wait to try the Buffet Sunday Brunch
