    I booked dinner for my birthday and honestly had not a nice time. Waiter forgot my starter, waited so long for our main meals, asked for a blanket from the waiter, waited so long that I had to wave someone down to get a blanket. I have eaten at Flames many times, loved it, just this particular evening was not great, didn’t enjoy my birthday there.

    I experienced terrible service, it took me 40 minutes for my drink order to be taken. My starters were brought out at the same time as my main meal although ordered 30 minutes apart. The service has definitely dropped significantly.

    The waiter was exceptionally warm and delivered outstanding service. Unfortunately, the initial welcome did not reflect the same standard. The front-of-house staff were noticeably distant and seated us at the very back of the venue, which felt unconsidered. It does give the impression that appearances influence the level of hospitality one receives. Interestingly, my experiences here differ greatly between business meetings and private visits—something worth reflecting on for a venue positioning itself at this level.
