    Dear Management, I would like to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to your restaurant. The experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. The waiters ignored our table completely, and it took nearly an hour just to be served a drink. My starter arrived after approximately two hours of waiting, which is completely unacceptable. Even worse, my main meal only arrived when I was already preparing to leave. At that point, bouncers intervened and forced me to stay, insisting that my order had already been placed. This made the situation even more uncomfortable and unpleasant. To make matters worse, I only received my drink after nearly three hours of sitting and waiting. I don't wanna talk about the dessert, one scope of ice cream and a pancake. At first the waiter told me that ice cream is finished and gave me dry pancakes. I had to ask what am I supposed to do with that information? I told them I am not going to pay for that dessert. I guess a miracle happened when a scoop of ice cream came out of nowhere. This was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The lack of service, communication, and basic customer care was shocking. I hope this matter will be taken seriously, as no customer should be treated this way.

    A huge disappointment, the place was over packed over booked, we spent over an hour and not attended to, we left without even having lunch, and looked for other restaurants that were open just to have food. What a horrible service and experience, never again

    What an extremely disappointing experience my family and I had at Flute Restaurant during their Christmas lunch. Upon arrival, we were seated for approximately 45 minutes with no water or drinks served. Our waiter repeatedly returned to reconfirm our order, which created confusion and unnecessary delays. The overall ambience was also poor, the décor was underwhelming and tables were placed uncomfortably close to one another, which made the experience feel crowded and unpleasant. We specifically requested chips for our son when we arrived, who was very hungry, yet nothing was brought until we escalated the matter to the manager. Eventually, my son was given four chips and a burger served on cheap, non-fresh bun. This was especially disappointing considering the kids’ menu advertises mini burgers, yet what was served was a standard burger that did not align with the description or expected quality. When we raised our dissatisfaction and requested the refund of our R400 deposit, the manager told us he would return to assist us however, he never did. We were deliberately avoided until we eventually had to leave. I left my contact details so that the refund could be processed, but to date, no one has contacted me. This experience fell far below acceptable standards, particularly for a Christmas lunch booking. I expect urgent feedback and confirmation regarding the refund of my deposit.

    Unfortunately the ambience was not in line with a Christmas Day Lunch. The band was way too loud and guests could not hear themselves in conversation. Other than a Christmas Tree there was no decor to give it a Christmas feel. Service was slow, a number of drinks were ordered were not available. Overall, a very poor experience and not a restaurant that I would visit again.

    Our Christmas experience wasn’t what we expected the service wasn’t good,food arrived extremely late and only after so many complaints,the bill was also overstated. We were patient throughout the whole process because it’s Christmas we can’t let anyone ruin that for us. The food was amazing the band is extremely good I believe if the restaurant improves ontheir service they can come out alright. Mistakes happen in businesses but correct and do better! I wouldn’t mind coming back to give them a second chance. Please improve the service you are already winning with the food location and band. Train your staff to handle huge crowds.

    Service was slow, food was cold, music was way too loud - felt like we were in the club. Went for Christmas lunch, think they took on more than they could handle. We were there for 2 hours and they only managed to serve us cold starters, knew it wouldn’t end well so we decided to leave after said starters.
