Folk Cafe is a family friendly restaurant located in St James, beside the iconic St James tidal pool. Folk offers an excellent variety of food, with a focus on using ethical ingredients (free range, grass fed and organic) that are locally sourced and produced wherever possible.

All of the cakes are baked in house and food from the seasonal menu is made fresh, and to order, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wood fired pizza can't be beat! There is also an extensive wine offering, beer on tap, milkshakes and smoothies for those with a sweet tooth, plus we roast and distribute our own signature coffee.

The location offers a playground for the kids and a sea view for the adults, live music every Saturday afternoon and a large outdoor area to accommodate bigger groups.

    We had a wonderful time at the Folk Cafe. The atmosphere was great, the server we had was a great guy with a great sense of humor. The food was delicious, no complaints! And thank you all so much, for making it special for my daughter for her birthday!

    The food and environment is great. We love that our kids had a safe place to play. Our waiter forgot to bring a few items we ordered, but they were still on the bill. It then took him about 30 minutes fix the bill. The music was also a bit to loud, it was great to have a live singer but it was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation with our friends. We also felt it was a bit ridiculous to add a 15% tip to our bill when 1. A tip amount is at our discretion depending on service and 2. The norm is 10%.
