Folk Cafe is a family friendly restaurant located in St James, beside the iconic St James tidal pool. Folk offers an excellent variety of food, with a focus on using ethical ingredients (free range, grass fed and organic) that are locally sourced and produced wherever possible.

All of the cakes are baked in house and food from the seasonal menu is made fresh, and to order, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wood fired pizza can't be beat! There is also an extensive wine offering, beer on tap, milkshakes and smoothies for those with a sweet tooth, plus we roast and distribute our own signature coffee.

The location offers a playground for the kids and a sea view for the adults, live music every Saturday afternoon and a large outdoor area to accommodate bigger groups.

    A busy Mothers' day service was managed professionally, and our Waitron, Tina, was friendly, attentive and organised. The glass of bubbly for the Mom's was a lovely touch!

    Service wasn't very good. Had 3 different people taking our orders and waited very long for our coffees. Then waited long to find one of the 3 waiters/waitresses to try get a glass of water with our meal. One of the guests had a fried egg put on her plate when the menu says poached for The Stack - the waiter said it is supposed to be fried but we showed the menu. When ordering 3 slices of cake when leaving in the deli/coffee section, waited about 10 mins after paying and had to follow-up twice. Not impressed with the service at all.
