Rated one of the leading restaurants in the Franschhoek Valley, already considered one of South Africa’s culinary hot spots, our Franschhoek Kitchen’s standards reflect an ethos based on the finest international cuisine – but our hearts are always drawn to the simplicity and pureness of the ingredients we use. Seasonality heavily influences our cuisine in the same way it influences the vineyards, ourselves and everything else on the estate, which is emphasised even more by the fact that much of our fruit and vegetables are home-grown with the utmost care on the Holden Manz Wine Estate, arriving on your plate fresh, healthy and filled with the vibrance of the Franschhoek Valley.

    The estate and the restaurant are beautifully set. Food was delicious and the proposed wine pairing worked for us. The only complaint we would have was that the table cloth had been freshly stained during an earlier seating and not changed; we came for a late lunch.

    We booked a Christmas lunch for 10 at the stunning wine farm, location was great nice outdoor area we enjoyed before we headed indoors to our private dining area - the team did a fantastic job, the wine and food all great would highly recommend!
