Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    We had an AMAZING time. The drinks were extraordinary and the biggest compliments to the chef. We ate the fries with the Huguenot cheese and the churros. Safe to say the best I’ve eaten at a restaurant.

    A Magical Birthday Dinner at GiGi Rooftop – 31st May 2025 I celebrated my birthday at GiGi Rooftop at Gorgeous George in Cape Town, and I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable evening. The atmosphere was effortlessly chic — elevated both literally and figuratively — with stunning panoramic views that set the perfect tone as the sun dipped below the city skyline. Dinner was absolutely divine. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavor — more than just a meal, it was a true culinary experience. What made the night truly special, though, was the impeccable service. Our waiter, Buba, was exceptional. His warm personality, attention to detail, and spot-on recommendations made us feel like absolute VIPs from start to finish. Sharing this evening with my better half, surrounded by the glow of city lights and the smooth sounds of a DJ spinning vinyl, created a magical atmosphere I’ll never forget. GiGi Rooftop isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a destination. We’ll definitely be back. Cherilyne & Sebastien
