Ginja was the best, the food , the service, the friendliness of the staff was excellent. the Korean chicken was the best chicken I've eaten, crispy on the outside and soft, juicy and succulent on the inside. Presentation of the food was excellent and the wine was fruity and beautiful. If you want the best experience with food, view, of the waterfront/bay and the friendliest staff, then Ginja is the place. thank you Clint Barendse for your excellent and friendly service I will bring the crew again. Stay blessed all!

Overall restaurant is set in a beautiful location and ambience is aesthetically pleasing. The food however left much to be desired. Menu selection is very limited and the food that was provided lacked flavour and was not worth the pricing being charged.

The food was rushed and had no flavor. We were all very disappointed. The steak was overdone, the salad was fatty with uncooked bacon, the appetizers were good but lacked salt - I think they should maybe taste their food to see what they are giving customers!

Very disappointed. Our booking was for 2pm, no earlier time available. The starters had been removed to make way for the main course. I had to ask if we could have a small plate of cold meat/cheese/pate with bread, which was dry, not sure what else we could have had, as never offered anything.. As the meal was advertised 11.30am to 4.30pm find this reason , to make space for main course, unacceptable.! The main course food was barely warm, no hot plate or heated dishes to keep the food or gravy hot.!! We asked for it to be warmed up, was not much warmer then.... It really took the edge off what should have been a hot, delicious Christmas lunch. Not enjoy. To be fair, the meats were cooked to perfection by the chefs, the brisket just fell apart, the veg cooked well, roast potatoes needed to be golden and crisp, were pale and soft, the Yorkshire pudding would have been very good if served hot. Not eat much at all, really really not a happy affair. When I asked the manager, if the meal was actually a cold one, he did no, was hot when came out of the kitchen!?!! In an earlier conversation with him,he commented on how the hospitality trade had been affected by Covid - all the more reason to have made it a 5* lunch. It would ha e been much better to have plated up in the kitchen and brought hot to the table. A couple of months ago, we went for the first time, for Sunday lunch at Suikerbossie, who normallydoa buffet lunch, but due to Covid restrictions, brought the mixed starters on a board, superb fresh bread, the main plated and hot. Selection of small desserts on a board. It was most impressive. Yours could have been the same if doe that way!! We have been for Christmas Lunch on 3 previous occasions, to your picnic when Watershed were playing, very appy on those occasions. Not to mention many meals eaten there, from the very early days when you, Den Anker, the Banking building etc were the only businesses in the V&A, the shopping centre not existing..... I became.e your neighbour a few years ago, living in the Marina there, so used you as my local! You ask about Ambience, with the Covid situation having caused much unhappiness and distancing of life, and business for you having been non existent for many many months.it was a chance yo make your guests feel jolly a d bring some happiness to them. Would have liked more festive decor, flowers, a more inviting, loving atmosphere. As for price,I put 3 because of the experience, but if l had been perfect, happy with your price. It is good for us to give some support yo our local businesses through these catastrophic times, but you need to look at your mistakes and perfect them - New Years Eve almost here, assume you celebrating with a meal, hope a jot one!!! I wish you well for 2021 and pray your industry picks up very soon. Diane Wood
