Welcome to GOLD Restaurant where dining is a celebration of food, flavours, family and friends, accompanied by live entertainment. Come and celebrate with us.

While honouring African culinary traditions we combine these with modern flavours and techniques to serve up a sophisticated African feast that we change seasonally.

African food is traditionally shared and enjoyed with family and friends. Similarly, our 14-dish tasting menu is served in generous individual and shared portions. Each dish is brought to your table with country of origin, cooking techniques and spicing explained. All our Halaal-certified meat, poultry and fish dishes come with vegetarian or vegan substitutes. Please inform us of your dietary preferences when booking so that we can adjust accordingly.

Family is central to African culture and children are welcome. There is no dress code and were open 7 days a week. We welcome walk-ins when capacity allows but we cannot guarantee availability, so we urge you to pre-book.

    We would throughly recommend Gold to anyone coming to Cape Town wanting an African dining experience. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.

    Wow!!! Probably one of the best touristy experiences we’ve ever done as a family. The food, the entertainment, the colours, deco, 10/10. Although we are originally from South Africa, we decided to treat ourselves to this this amazing experience.

    Every morsel was scrumptious and the entertainment was on point from the drumming and dancing down to the quick, clever fingers of the face painter. Nothing felt rushed but I was a bit dazzled by the forest of dim lights on the upper level almost to the point of regretting my lack of a hat. I also would have liked to revisit the sambosas but didn't understand how or when to order more... Probably just as well as the set menu will already leave you full.

    What a beautiful experience. I recommend anyone visiting Cape Town to go to Gold restaurant , make sure you book the whole experience including The Drums session. Special thank you to Isabelle , she took good care of us

    Gold was a phenomenal experience! The food tastings were diverse and delicious. It was so full! The service was kind and efficient. The entertainment was fun and engaging. It was a beautiful welcome to Capetown and a wonderful experience.
