Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    Myself and my partner are foodies at heart and let me tell you. From the starters all the way to the desert our taste buds were tingling. The ambience was very warm as was the reception from the host. They are very hands on and make the experience feel like you’re the only one there as they explain in detail every dish they serve of what ingredients were used and where they were sourced. I will definitely be making another reservation because that experience is one I need to share with friends.

    An Absolute Gem! We visited Good to Gather yesterday and can confidently say that all the rave reviews are 100% true! Everything was just perfect — the beautiful setting, the relaxed atmosphere, and most of all, the absolutely amazing food. Every dish was fresh, packed with flavour, and clearly made with love and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but Good to Gather truly does. We left already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommended!

    My visit to Good to Gather was an absolutely exceptional dining experience. The food was, without a doubt, the best I have tasted. Their service was so intuitive it felt as though they could read our minds. A special thanks to Jess, Luke, and the entire team, who made us feel so welcome and at home, as if we were part of their family. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and will certainly be looking for a future spot with my family and friends.
