    Very unpleasant exceptional experience because our booking had not been executed as expected: Mining Indaba created a chaos and kitchen, staff were clearly overwehlmed but did their best to help individually booked guests

    Everything was really 5 star, and the Waygu burgers were the best I've ever eaten!

    Thank you for allowing constructive criticism. I initially arrived at around 2:30 without a booking and was told that the restaurant was full and we were turned away, the hosts didn't even offer for us to wait at the bar since the restaurant was so "full". I could see the restaurant did not look full. I went back to my car and took the initiative to call the restaurant and ask for a booking for 4 people, a half and hour later 3pm, i sent the confirmation of the booking to my sister as we were dining together. My sister and her partner then arrived at 3pm and was told that we are not on the list, but they were still seated nevertheless. I feel as if there is some discrimination at this restaurant, and that foreigners "Europeans and Americans" are prioritized. I could be wrong but that's just the general impression I got. The service was terrible, the waiter was not attentive at all, but it seems that was due to the amount of tables he had to serve. The food portion for fish is too small and the salmon was too thinly sliced, and way too watery. The steak portions were good and well cooked and my partner enjoyed it. The sushi was also very good. Overall, I won't ever be coming back to that restaurant, not very welcoming at all.
