    From the chef’s food, wine and service…everything was top tier. The mood in the room was absolutely fantastic, and it’s a great idea for date night or girls night out. An intimate once in a lifetime experience.

    We had a delicious relaxed lunch at Grub and Vine on Friday. The set menu with choices is really good value. Each dish is beautifully served. I had the been soup with pork belly and then lamb and waterblommetjie ripiena (like tortelloni). The sauces were amazing. My guest had the yellowtail with fennel and then kingklip with sweetcorn etc. We stopped there, but there was so much more to try. The restaurant is upstairs and one looks out over the streets and hills through old windows. Such a nice place to be.

    Still one of the best restaurants in Cape Town without question. Food, ambience and staff are 10/10. I do wonder though whether wine list is a little excessively priced; offering more reasonable house wines would be an improvement as even the lowest price wines on the list are very high.
