    Arrived into Cape Town and after checking into hotel, headed straight to Grub&Vine. Food was delicious. Ordered the 3 course meal and all four of us in our party enjoyed it.

    Sam gave excellent and respectful service. He knew the wines and food on the menu well. A great meal out.

    Food was enjoyable - not the best fine-dining experience but overall good. One or two faults with the courses but we had fabulous service from Sam who knew what he was doing and was confident and relaxed.

    We were a team of four who hadn't experienced the place and went there for the first time. Initially the welcome was amazing and gave hope that this may be a wonderful experience, but it wasn't. Only 2 of the 5 lunch courses tasted good. All courses lacked textural differences, every course was just saucy. But the issue was, we didn't receive the correct 4th course, the dessert was brought out last and we had to let them know we hadn't received the main. Initially the dessert brought to us had was warm and it had to pieces of cake. We asked them to take this away since we needed to have the main first. When the desserts were brought out again, they were very cold and only had one cake. The menu specifically says 2 pieces. I asked the waiter where the other piece was and he deflected and didn't answer the question. I spent over R4000 in hopes of thanking my team for all their hard work so far. We would have enjoyed Burger King better than this.

    We made a reservation with a R2000 voucher at Grub & Vine. The food was delicous but due to the fact that the fish had a few bones in, the manager Gary, apologized and we did not have to pay the balance of the bill, got two glases of wine and a Magnum bottle of wine on the house. Gary dealt the situation in a very professional and accommodating manner. We can recommed the great food and ambiance, we had a great time.
