    My husband and I came from Australia to celebrate my 60th birthday, and dinner at the Grub & Vine was one of the gastronomic highlights of our trip. We had the 6 course Winter Tasting Menu with Local Legends Wine Pairing, and it was AMAZING!! The food was exquisite, the staff were professional and attentive, the matching wines were superb, and the atmosphere was romantic and cosy. We had a lovely table for 2 at the window. A very special evening - thank you!

    A 100% markup on wine is unfortunately to be expected at many restaurants. However selling a bottle which retails at R225 for R750 is excessive and exploitative!

    Food was superb and the staff extremely attentive and friendly. Arrangements with the booking could have been better, as we received no feedback when we sent an email request the day before, for an additional person to be added. Also, heavy rain and hectic traffic meant that we were about 20 minutes late. We called six times and no one picked up the phone, which was really stressful, as it was an important event. Fortunately, everything was fine on arrival.
