I felt the linefish and bean combo was not ideal. Had abit of tummy grumbles after. I am sure it’s the beans.

Service is amazing. Seafood curry, the worst. Desert..the best.

Great service from Washington & lady whose name I forgot now. The food was bland, sounded so great on the menu, but yeah was a let down. Great ambiance as it was a rainy night, but my table for 1 was looking into washing machine

The entire experience was dissapointing and certainly not worth the cost. Food: The menu's on the website differ from the actual menu on offer (no winter special, no sharing menu) and the wine list is completely different (not nearly as elaborate as the version on the website). The 31-day aged rump steak was chewy with excessive fat, it was over cooked (medium to well instead of medium rare) and completely flavourless. We've had better steaks (i.e better quality, more flavourful and cooked better) at regular steak houses and half the price. The Oxtail gnocchi contained 1 cube of oxtail and 4 pieces of gnocchi (this seemed more like a starter portion than a main portion). The crust to the lemon curd tart dessert was so thick and hard, I could not eat it with a spoon (which is the only utensil provided). Ambience: The tables in our section were so close together that the couple seated next to us kept bumping into our table whenever they got up, and so did the waiter whenever he served them. The restaurant was noisy with a buzz similar to a busy mall, conversations at a normal volume level were simply not possible and was certainly not improved by the close proximity of other patrons. Service: The waiter forgot to place our mains' and dessert order, as we waited over an hour for the mains (this while having to be on time for a show starting in the venue next door, which meant we had to rush to finish our food). Tables that arrived long after us received their mains and desserts before us, despite us ordering all 3 courses within 20 minutes of arriving (and may I add that we arrived early). We had to place our dessert order twice (once shortly after arriving....then again once our mains had arrived 20 mintues before the show started). When we received the bill, it was incorrect and contained several items that we had not ordered. We enjoyed the yellow tail starter and my husband's chocolate fondant dessert. The venue is beautiful.

Although separated by a wooden slattered partition we were seated at a table next to where the staff were sorting cutlery. The area was busy and noisy and did not do well for a relaxing meal.

Changed menus for candlelight evening and the food was terrible. All the sides for the dishes were set up under heat lights and added to the plate as they go. We both ordered the same dish and one had missed sides. The other steak was undercooked which is not acceptable as they only had to cook the steak then chuck the rest on from under the heat lamps.Honestly the worst food I’ve had in capetown. Stick to tapas would be so much better. What a shame.
