The Guardian Peak Winery and Restaurant opened in December 2005, and since then, has been a popular destination in the winelands of Stellenbosch.

The focus of the a la carte menu is on serving unpretentious bistro style food with an emphasis on prime-quality steaks.

We only serve wines from our greater portfolio, and trust that you find the selection to your satisfaction.

    With our first winelands tour for 2026, there was no hesitation to have our guests experience Guardian Peak. They must have mentioned the breathtaking views 20 times during their meal. Mrs Baughan was celebrating a birthday so there was a little extra special GP touch. We highly recommend including a stop at Guardian Peak, the wine, the food, the service are all next level. Oh, and the views!

    Very enjoyable visit to Guardian Peak. Our first time after a friend’s recommendation. Excellent food. Spectacular views. We’ll certainly come again.

    Unfortunately, we hadn't been to Guardian Peak for quite some time, which we deeply regretted after this visit. We and some guests from Constantia Cottages sat on the deck and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the valley. The food was absolutely fantastic, the game was superb, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, preceded by mussels in a tangy sauce – simply magnificent. We certainly won't wait so long to book with this wonderful restaurant again. The service from waiter Werner Brand was friendly, attentive, and informative; it couldn't have been better!
