A sundowner is a drink taken at sundown, preferably whilst watching the sun slowly disappearing into the Atlantic Ocean. There are only a few places in Cape Town where one can do that in style and the terrace of Harveys restaurant at the Winchester Mansions hotel is one of them. Bistro by day and restaurant by night, Harveys offers guests South African cuisine with a European twist. No secret to the locals, the Winchester Mansions Sunday Jazz Brunch is an absolute must. Throughout the year, renowned local and international jazz artists perform at the brunch, in summer in the Mediterranean setting of the courtyard. Enjoy a glass of fine sparkling wine on arrival, a complimentary Sunday newspaper and a cosmopolitan brunch buffet.

I confirmed the location of our table when we arrived at the hotel, only to find that our table was given to another group of 7 when we entered the courtyard at 11h10. We really missed the chocolate mousse. Thank you Pierre

everything was wonderful, except for our waitress not being available very often, we waited for over half an hour for our plates and table to be cleared towards the end of the service. we also waited to say goodbye, but she didn't come near our table for quite a while so we just left once we were done

Had a lovely experience with family and friends. Wonderful ambiance, food, company and of course music thanks to Maurice Gawronski and fellow musicians. An event to make Cape Town proud.

After our 1st experience at the Jazz Brunch, we invited friends on holiday from Ireland to experience same. The experience was well appreciated and enjoyed very much. However, on both visits, the payment process/system, Dineplan, was problematic. The confirmation of payment was not cleared and it was somewhat embarrassing to explain to the watron, who was extremely professional and was not her fault,in front of my invited friends, that the payment was made. This was further followed up with a phone call the following day with a request for proof of payment as well. My guests even offered to pay..............and I could sort it out the following day.

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - brought friends with us, as our birthday gift to them and they loved everything about it - great food, fabulous music and just a cosy setting and lovely crowd - Awesome way to spend your Sunday morning !!! not to mention excellent value for money.

That's a long time I wanted to do the Nr1 brunch in Cape Town and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is perfect - The courtyard is the perfect venue and the jazz music played was great. There is a wide selection of food, from brackfast to lunch and salty to sweet. The glass of bubbly offered at the arrival was nice as well. Great experience that I recommend.
