With arguably the best view overlooking the Franschhoek Wine Valley, dining with us at Haute Cabrière is as beautiful as it is delicious.

As with our approach to wine, our food philosophy centres on moments to be enjoyed together.
We believe that coming together around the table, as family always has, is a celebration of life, stories, togetherness and of course, wonderful food and wine.

Join us as part of our family and eat, drink and chat on our sun-soaked restaurant terrace in Franschhoek. Our menus are inspired by classic French dishes with a twist – combining local ingredients and the von Arnim family’s love of innovation.

    Sadly the weather was bad when he had lunch, so no view . Which is why we booked. However , the food was an unexpected bonus. Lovely lunch.

    The online booking was simple and easy to follow... appreciated the confirmation and reminder on the day. My experiences at Haute Cabriere never disappoints - with spectacular views that can be enjoyed all year round on the Terrace. The food was superb! I enjoyed the crumbed brie starter , my friend reported the short rib ravioli a good choice.. Mains were delicious. Cape Salmon was a delight for my friend . . and the slow cooked lamb shoulder absolutely delicious. Desserts were tops!!. I had to restrain myself from licking the bowl. The description Chocolate Cake is too ordinary. .It is rather a delectable combination of rich choco flavours and textures topped with a complementing creamy ice cream and caramel sauce. The other dessert with cardamom-flavour( I forget the name) was equally delicious. We were told that this was the first time these desserts were presented.. The Arnim Family Reserve 2020 was a great accompaniment. Portion sizes were adequate and satisfying. One small thing which I found strange - there weren't enough dessert spoons, so we were given soup spoons to eat dessert. Perhaps a small investment in some new cutlery will not be amiss. All-in-all a lovely experience. Looking forward to my next time.
