Set in the farm’s original wine cellar, built circa-1870, the Hazendal Wine Lounge is a beautifully refurbished venue for visitors to discover the cellar’s terroir-driven range of wines. From deep-buttoned Harrington sofas at the eye-catching fireplace to the striking copper-clad bar, classic and contemporary touches combine in a single elegant space.

    It’s a beautiful place but the service was so terrible. Went to the eatery first and the food took forever to come out, the food was okay though, the portions were good. We then went for the wine tasting experience, after we sat no one was attending to us, for about 20 minutes, we had to keep calling people to help us but wouldn’t. We ended up not doing the tasting and opted for a bottle instead… couldn’t even get a second one because no one was coming to check on us. Curious if the wine tasting would have even felt like an experience or if they just pour all your wines and disappear.

    The waiter and waitresses were amazing, the only reason I’m rating the service low is because the staff took a bit of time to serve due to being under staffed.

    We had the best experience. The place is breathtaking, we took plenty of pictures. We went to the fine dining side and the food the food the food, it was extremely amazing. Service was great as well, we were warmly welcomed by drinks and our waitress was amazing we were laughing the entire evening. We also got goodbye drinks from the manager. They just need to improve on the amount of time it takes to get your food order done but I would give them grace because we had plenty of complimentary meals by the time our food came we were full already. We will definitely visit the place again. Otherwise 1000/10

The venue is breathtaking – from the scenic views to the beautifully maintained grounds. The staff were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The wine tasting was a highlight, offering a perfect balance of sophistication and fun. Our guests were impressed with the elegant atmosphere and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone planning a luxury event or simply looking to enjoy a world-class wine experience.
