    Visited Park Hyatt Johannesburg for high tea and left disappointed. Getting through the gate was harder than it should've been — the guards held up my car while checking availability, which felt unwelcoming for a Park Hyatt. Once inside, the empty dining room made me question why I'd been told they were "squeezing me in." The real issue was food safety. I disclosed a red meat and pork allergy up front, but was served arancini containing beef. I only found out after eating half of it, and spent the rest of the day feeling sick. The replacement dish arrived with a frozen center, and a promised mocktail never showed up. Despite all this, I was still charged the full R1000. This fell well short of what I'd expect from the Park Hyatt brand. Hoping management addresses the communication gaps between kitchen and service staff.

    An absolutely beautiful place that provides such a memorable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the high-tea experience for my birthday celebration. All the staff are so professional from the host, to our waiter, the barista and the manager. Wishing this establishment the very best and may you remain open for many years to come.

    I spent my birthday afternoon at room 32, my goodness. What an experience, from the moment you drive in- you are taken care of. Friendly and professional staff. A big thank you to the wonderful chefs, the food was mouthwatering. I will do it again. Thank you to Mbali for taking care of me.

    The high tea was lovely. All 3 courses were great It would be nice to have more than 3 teas as the tea is a bitg part of the high tea experience Also note that a 15% mandatory service charge is included in the final bill so the amount advertised is less the service charge keep that in mind when booking for this.

    Overall: 10/10 ROOM 32 isn’t just somewhere you go for a meal—it’s somewhere you go for an experience. The attention to detail, exceptional hospitality, thoughtful storytelling, and beautifully executed High Tea make it outstanding value for money.
