A standout among Hazyview restaurants, Hippo Hollow Restaurant occupies centre stage on the lush Hippo Hollow Country Estate. The restaurant has a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere where guests can wind down at the end of a day full of activities or discuss the highlights of a productive conference meeting. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options and on warm summer evenings, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the Sabie River down below.

Hippo Hollow Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from an à la carte menu that is regularly updated, which provides new and innovative ways to present local seasonal food at its best. The lunch menu features a selection of salads, light meals, pizzas and grill menu items to tickle your tastebuds as well as a kids menu to keep the little ones happy.

The dinner menu is more refined with delicate starters, game and fish dishes, as well as vegetarian options and an enticing dessert menu. Dishes are inspired by both international and traditional South African cuisine. Meals can be complemented by a selection of fine South African wines from our cellar.

    We have enjoyed the meal very much. I must just mention that no ordinary person can consume só much food in one meal. Wish I could, though. Thank you for a good experience! The lamb was especially tasty and the salads fresh.

    Definitely not worth the price, food was tasteless and wasn’t worth the price. Menu didn’t even include juice nor tap water. Ridiculous amount
