    Food quality was good, my steak was not done as per my request. I requested medium-rare, and it was cooked medium-well. The starter was probably the best part of the dining experience. The crème brûlée was also very good, the chocolate mud pudding was underwhelming. The ambience was not as expected. Too many bright lights, the lighting inside should be softer so that dinners can see outside and not just their reflections.

    The food was amazing, the taste was amazing as well as filling and the service was really good. Myself and my guests really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend. N

    I bought a Wikideals voucher, so the value for what we received was okay. If we had to pay the normal in-house prices, I would not have been as lenient with my review. The ambience of the venue is stunning! I still need to experience it in the daytime, but with the cold weather, etc., it was very cosy. The service was slow and impersonal at first, but then we got this lovely (very much pregnant) waitress, and she was amazing! Even after booking for 19h30, we only got seated at around 20h00. The food, I feel, could have been better. Maybe the Chef's specialty is not seafood, because our prawn starter was either overcooked or not fresh. They didn't turn rubbery, rather 'powdery' (in Afrikaans you would say meelerig). It was not the best experience at all. The flavours of the spices and oils were very nice. I had the Seafood Pasta for my main (we had given our selection before the time, otherwise I would have selected something else), and again the prawns were either overcooked or not fresh. The piece of fish was overcooked because it was so dry, I used all of my sauce to get it down. The calamari and mussels were very nice. My husband had the pork belly, and the flavours were amazing!! We just feel that the piece could have been slightly bigger. For dessert, we had a caramel cheesecake and an ice cream sandwich, which were both very nice. The wine was also very nice. So not a too-bad experience, but it could have been better - not WOWed. I have photos, but cannot upload.

    The piece of steak I received, had alot of fat on it, but the meat was well prepared. Menu also said prawn skewer, but only received a small prawn. Overall the experience was lovely and our waitress was awesome.
