The KRAAKTAFEL is a seasonal dining experience created and curated by [kraak]. It celebrates different seasons with a unique menu and some of the best wine SA has to offer.
Price per person [p.p.] includes a three-course menu, wine and mineral water.

In Afrikaans there is a saying 'jy rafel uit' - meaning 'you are going wild and moving away from your normal behaviour'.
K R A A K R A F E L - an after-party for the party!

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE KRAAKTAFEL ?
Each year [kraak] will host 4 LONG TABLE experiences which will be KRAAK OWNED events in collaboration with other suppliers.

How it works:

We advertise the dates and menu via our social media as well as a mailing list. Once you notice the advert you can make contact directly via our website

The price per person includes dinner, wine and water.

There will be a definite arrival time and departure time

The area/town will be shared from the first advert but the exact location in the mentioned area will only be shared 1 week prior to the actual event

On the day of the event you will arrive and experience a curated experience designed by [kraak]

Please note that the shape of the table will not always be the same and will be changed according to our discretion and design inspiration


Cancellations made 7 days prior to the event date (including weekend days), is non-refundable.

    My friend and I had such a lovely time. The experience was beautiful from the onset. The cherry on top was finding guests who were absolutely pleasant. It was lovely time to connect, engage, wine and dine.

    The overall experience and ambience created was amazing. The service was 5/5 with staff being very attentive. We met and talked to so many people from different backgrounds it reminded me of what SA could be. The food itself was great, I enjoyed the chicken and beef and all the accompaniments. I do have a few constructive words that may assist for next time. The desert was underwhelming and not particularly good. The fact of also only one desert option was disappointing. Then we also paid for Kraakrafel, and it was basically just paying R650 to go into a tent where music was played, and not music that catered to all tastes , but just to one particular taste. The fact that there was cash bar also put me off a bot, as for R650 I would have expected perhaps a few coupons for a certain amount of beer or glasses of wine. we left after 20 mins of Kraakrafel. I will definitely be back for Kraaktafel at the next one just to experience the different setting on offer.

    We did not get any welcoming drinks, we were there before 17h00 - they said they closed. Drinks - plenty at the venue if you drink wine & bubbly but nothing else We did not receive any fizzy/fresh juice for non drinking guests We did not get any smoked snoek pate or fatty biltong and if you asked for it then you just never see the waiter again. Experience overall amazing Logistics great Food tasteful

    Hey guys! I was so thrilled about being there but unfortunately it was rather disappointing. There was not much love to the detail, the food was basic (especially for Cape Town measures).

    Lovely setting and wonderful experience. While the food was lovely, at this price point I would have expected a more gastronomic food experience
