    Lovely venue and beautiful surroundings. Kids really enjoyed the Fun day Sunday. Adult meals a bit too formal for that type of day. Maybe less fine dining on fun days. Overall a very pleasant day. Staff were excellent and serves excellent.

    I chose the pork belly from the menu as it was described as being accompanied by a tarte tatin which I love. Instead it was served with a few artfully arranged slices of baked apple, no tarte! Does the chef not know what constitutes a proper tarte tatin? The wine list does not show any wines by the glass, though they are available. This newish hotel is charming, the kitchen shows promise and we will be back.

    This is a newish place so theyre still finding their feet. A few things went wrong but understandable. Food was good, desserts excellent. I’m sure it will get better as it becomes more established. Very friendly staff, just a bit lacking in general coordination and finishing touches. Nevertheless well worth a visit.
