La Parada Bar De Tapas first opened its doors in Bree Street – Cape Town’s hottest food strip – as a tribute to the Spanish bars that bewitched Hemingway. La Parada offers tapas born from Spanish heritage but curated for the South African palate.

With an impressive interior, boasting ornate pressed ceilings, a miscellany of chairs and lampshades and an eclectic selection of Spanish tiles, La Parada specialises in sharing small plates that incorporate a Spanish flair and a great vibe. With many patrons popping in for afternoon drinks and a light bite, rather than a sit-down dinner – which is after all the origin of tapas – the drinks list encourages as much experimentation as the menu.

    What a great lunch we had at Laparada Irene .Thanks to Management Fifi for the service and the hospitality she gave us. She kept checking our table if we need anything and Let’s not forget about the food it was so delicious ..

    What had a great day Laparada Irene .The service was great and all thanks to zinzi for being attentive and the service she gave us . The Food was great you could see that the chefs were cooking with love plus the food tasted as good as they look . I loved the presentation of sushi, it was giving .we are surely coming back to celebrate your birthdays .

    Food took way too long & I ate cold food! The service horrible! I’m never coming back to that place! We were told they are closing by 10pm but when I called they said midnight, we literally had eat in a hurry
