La Parada Bar De Tapas first opened its doors in Bree Street – Cape Town’s hottest food strip – as a tribute to the Spanish bars that bewitched Hemingway. La Parada offers tapas born from Spanish heritage but curated for the South African palate.

With an impressive interior, boasting ornate pressed ceilings, a miscellany of chairs and lampshades and an eclectic selection of Spanish tiles, La Parada specialises in sharing small plates that incorporate a Spanish flair and a great vibe. With many patrons popping in for afternoon drinks and a light bite, rather than a sit-down dinner – which is after all the origin of tapas – the drinks list encourages as much experimentation as the menu.

    I am never dinning in that restaurant , the 1st time I went the service was bad , but I thought it was jst that specific day , I gave it a chance again as I had booked for Christmas lunch , horrible service ever ! Waited for the food for full 2hours , after 2hours we asked if the food is being prepared n it wasn’t , we had to cancel our orders and get another restaurant. The service is really bad in this restaurant !!! Very bad !!! I give it a 1 just because I got a drink . They need to do better . I am never dinning there ever again .

    Went to see dj milo perform but there was no appearance totally a waist of money, food was expensive but there was no effort and only a few prawns in the pasta

    We waited for over 3 hours just to get our main meals. Starters and drinks took over an hour to arrive. We hardly got any assistance when we complained to our waiter. 0/10

    The waiters were too busy, we had to keep looking for them to place orders. At some point we even freed our table by moving dirty plates to a free table because there was no one to clean. Our starter were brought at the same time with main dishes🤦🏽‍♀️
