La Parada Bar De Tapas first opened its doors in Bree Street – Cape Town’s hottest food strip – as a tribute to the Spanish bars that bewitched Hemingway. La Parada offers tapas born from Spanish heritage but curated for the South African palate.

With an impressive interior, boasting ornate pressed ceilings, a miscellany of chairs and lampshades and an eclectic selection of Spanish tiles, La Parada specialises in sharing small plates that incorporate a Spanish flair and a great vibe. With many patrons popping in for afternoon drinks and a light bite, rather than a sit-down dinner – which is after all the origin of tapas – the drinks list encourages as much experimentation as the menu.

    Had a wonderful time with my queen tonight. She looked like a queen and she felt amazing, it was a pleasure to see her enjoy herself so much. We had a great time together, and I'm so glad we got to spend the evening together.

    We had a fabulous time at Laparada Irene the welcome was good the service we got from Nomsa was amazing she was soo sweet the food was very nice

    Way better experience than the last time. Quite pleasing to find businesses that act on negative reviews. Thank you for going out of your way to give us a good experience.     I was extremely upset with the food quality. I chose your restaurant for an intimate celebration and expected to pay very high prices for the food, thinking that it would be of exceptional quality. The Wagyu starter was an oily mess, and I showed the waitress that all the meat cooked out and was lying underneath the dough. The Plato de Maricos came after an hour and was ice cold. I could've gotten the same portion at Ocean Basket for a third of the price. 4 small prawns and cold fish. If I didn't have a lady with me, I would've made a scene and would've asked for a refund. I am so disappointed, and I don't earn a lot, so to pay that huge amount for something so terrible shocked me.
