Set in a converted house in central Franschhoek, the atmosphere at Le Bon Vivant is homely and relaxed, while reminiscent of contemporary French restaurants. The glass wall allows you to see Pierre Hendriks and his team at work. Tables are also available in the shaded garden next to the restaurant for lunch and dinner on warm summer evenings.

    Booked a table for a quick supper & had the most delicious meal in a pleasantly busy restaurant on a Monday evening. Will definitely be back & would definitely recommend

    Chef Pierre is amazing . Our food was incredible and throughly enjoy watching him create his matching in the kitchen. We did the chef surprise tasting - Highly recommend this amazing culinary experience.

    17 years ago we were turned down at the Quartier Francaise because lack of reservation - but they recommended a new restaurant of their former chef: The Le Bon vivant. We went there and had simply the best meal of our lives. Wonderful tastes and textures, innovative ingredients…simply perfection in detail. We never forgot this wonderful experience and knew for sure, whenever we will return to SA, the Le Bon vivant will be our most important stop. Yesterday we visited Chef Pierre again and he is still as capable as he was in our memories. Thank you for a wonderful evening, great food, wines and service. Whenever we are in SA, we will be more than happy to be your guests
