Set in a converted house in central Franschhoek, the atmosphere at Le Bon Vivant is homely and relaxed, while reminiscent of contemporary French restaurants. The glass wall allows you to see Pierre Hendriks and his team at work. Tables are also available in the shaded garden next to the restaurant for lunch and dinner on warm summer evenings.

    It is a pity Pierre is retiring. His menu dégustation ( 4 course meal with wine pairing ) would put to shame many michelin-starred restaurants in France and elsewhere in the world. Good luck Pierre. Dr. Jean Schéré

    For 23 years: no visit in Franschhoek without at least one visit in Le Bon Vivant. So sorry, to enjoy Le Bon Vivant for the last time! Thankx so much for many wonderful evenings!

    An exception meal, with attentive service and pleasant atmosphere. I especially liked being able to sample multiple starters. Each of which was delicious. It was good value for money for the quality of the food
