    Nice food, perfect service, just that the candles were going out constantly, do not use those tealights but more durable candles maybe ?

    We had lunch for 2, plus a dog. Lily's is dog-friendly, which is a plus. We had a shared starter, mains, and desserts. Just sparkling water to drink. The food was excellent, as usual, except that the "coleslaw" was just shredded cabbage, with no dressing. The waitress also forgot a cup of tea. Great location opposite the promenade. Not a place for those on a tight budget, as it all came to R1200, including the tip!

    We specifically booked a table on the Inside Terrace for 1.30pm. When we arrived, the hostess told us they are full booked inside and on the terrace, however, there were two tables open inside. We made it clear that we prebooked in a certain area and it was not acceptable to us. Whilst we were leaving, another lady came out and asked if there was a problem We explained what happened and she immediately moved us to the inside and noted that people have booked for 3pm so we need to finish lunch by then. We confirmed we will be done by 3pm BUT when we left at 3pm there were ample seating available inside. Your hostess was not very helpful and at a point very rude ( she was wearing green check jacket and green pants). The person assisting us was dressed in black and was really very helpful. I do not think we will go back to Lily's as the whole point of booking is to avoid this kind of issue? Surely the hostess can see who has booked for various times and ensure patrons know this on arrival?

    We have always loved Lilly’s and been coming for back regularly ever since our first dinner in 2017. But to be honest, the quality of food and consistency has been decreasing over the years. The recent menu changes are just underwhelming and overpriced. Chicken schnitzel for R220 which is mostly plain rice and one small piece of chicken. We know exactly which cocktails we love but lately we have had a different version of it each time to the point where I might not order that again. I still enjoy a meal there, but just an honesty observation and warning that at this price point you need to keep an eye on decreasing quality and value. I will not make this public review
