Loxtonia Farm is situated in the heart of the Western Cape farmlands, in the Ceres Valley. Owned by the Whitfield family since 1990. The art of making fine apple cider first took place at Loxtonia Farm in 2013, when the family run farmstead identified a gap in the South African market.

Loxtonia Farm exports apples, pears and plums world-wide while also supplying a small percentage of fruit to the local South African market. Founder & Head Cider Maker of Loxtonia Cider, Larry Whitfield realised that he could turn this into a two-fold passion project by using the juice from the apples to become the first Cidery in Ceres.

    Loved our cider tasting experience! The ciders were great, the little score card was a nice touch, and our server helped answer all the questions we had. Also, ciders are 100% gluten-free (yay for celiac-safe).

    What a lovely day out. Relaxing. Celler tour was very informative and manager knows her trade. She is very friendly. Too few waiters for venue.

    View was absolutely beautiful! Our waiter was friendly and informative. There is such a variety of cider flavors- each one unique. The wine pairings are also recommendable. Only one wish- to accommodate teenagers as well. They are too old for the kiddies tasting, but to young for the adult tastings. This was our first visit to Loxtonia Ciders, but definitely not our last!

    We felt very welcome. The celler tour by Lisa was informative. We were treated as kings with the most beautiful view. Overall we had a lovely time and Best memories. Thanks Guys.
