Loxtonia Farm is situated in the heart of the Western Cape farmlands, in the Ceres Valley. Owned by the Whitfield family since 1990. The art of making fine apple cider first took place at Loxtonia Farm in 2013, when the family run farmstead identified a gap in the South African market.

Loxtonia Farm exports apples, pears and plums world-wide while also supplying a small percentage of fruit to the local South African market. Founder & Head Cider Maker of Loxtonia Cider, Larry Whitfield realised that he could turn this into a two-fold passion project by using the juice from the apples to become the first Cidery in Ceres.

    We chose the Van Loveren tasting while our friends had the cider tasting and both were absolutely excellent. Our host Lisa was exceptional and added to the experience immensely. Not only will I recommend Loxtonia as a must stop for anyone holidaying close to Ceres, but have already recommended that the 2 hiking groups that will be staying close-by over the next 2 weekends definitely make an effort to get there. Stunning views to top it off.
