LUPA Osteria is a bustling Italian restaurant serving authentic food in a warm and inviting setting . Whether you want a delicious bowl of pasta on a random Tuesday, country fresh salad, wood-oven baked pizza or a big celebration dinner with friends, LUPA offers all this and more.

We pride ourselves in staying true to our Italian roots and in keeping traditional Roman cuisine alive. Each Lupa has a designated pasta making & drying room where our fresh pasta is hand-made daily. A wood fired pizza oven is used for truly authentic pizzas and for baking many other traditional dishes for that extra flavour and authenticity.

Our wines list is extensive and offers a great selection of local and imported wine, beer and spirits to accompany your food or have a beautiful cocktail at aperitivo hour!

    Unfortunately my pasta was under done I returned it and it tasted awful. Almost like the sauce wasn’t cooked through this time . Had flour like taste. Penne was weird . Not what I’m used to coming here at all. Was disappointing

    My daughter ordered a pizza which was really dry and tasteless, we spoke to the manager and he said he will look into it and was sorry but that was it. This was only our second time there and the restaurant is very nice, but the service was extremely slow the manager stands by the grill shouting at his staff which is not very professional.

    Amazing staff , friendly and proffesional. Kids enjoy making pizza and really went out of their way. Highly recommened

    We had the Lupa Pasta dish, Parmesan could have been melted slightly more before adding the pasta, Spinach and Feta Ravioli as well as Chicken and Prawn Ravioli was delicious.

    We booked at Lupa Osteria Meyersdal about a month in advance for my 40th birthday. The original booking was for 30 people, including children, but I later reduced it to 26 when some friends could no longer attend. We specifically requested the room next to the children's play area. On the day, Lupa called to confirm our booking, and we advised that we would arrive early to get everything ready before our guests arrived. When we got there, another group was seated in the room we had reserved. The manager told us they had been there for a long time and would be leaving soon. However, it appeared they had only recently been seated, as their table was clean and the waitress had just started taking their orders. They remained there for almost the entire afternoon. As a result, our guests had to be split up, with some seated in a corner and the rest at the larger table. This gave me the impression that our reservation for the room next to the play area was not respected or properly managed. On the positive side, the food was very good, and the waiters were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout. We had arranged beforehand to make use of the pizza special (R135 for a pizza and drink), while any additional orders would be for our guests' own accounts. The children could order from the kids' menu. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay, we were charged for 28 pizza specials and additional drinks that were never ordered. I agreed to pay for 26 pizza specials, as that was the size of our group, and chose not to make an issue of it and spoil the celebration. Overall, the food and waiter service were excellent, but the booking management and billing discrepancies were disappointing. I would not recommend Lupa Osteria Meyersdal for large group functions, but I would happily recommend it for smaller groups.
