    We decided to celebrate a birthday with friends and know that Tuesdays are Taco special at Mamacita's. The waitron was friendly but the service was very slow. It was not as busy as usual. We waited a long time for our drinks. After ordering food - it was reported back that they did not have any prawn or beef. We all had to change our orders. Found this poor for a night the restaurant has a Taco Special.

    We were a group of 4 and it was our first time experiencing Mamacita's. We were really looking forward to it. We ordered a round of drinks and starters , the wait time was pretty long (30/40mins) We asked our waitress what's happening, and she informed us there was a short of staff issue due to the marches/protestings. We decided to order all our food and drinks , that was another 50 min wait. We had a chat with the Manager and he apologised for the inconvenience. Although we don't know whether this experience in service delivery was a one time thing due to unforeseen circumstances, but we did feel that communication would've made a difference. It shouldn't take the guests to wait 50 minutes for drinks and meals to be asking the questions about what's going on. If it was communicated to each table ,they can eliminate the frustration and overall experience for the guests. Waiting for drinks and food affects the diners experience and overall ambience for the guest. The food and cocktails was amazing, but not worth waiting that long for. By the time our main meals came we were stuffed on the starters alone, because the wait time was so long. We ended up with take away dishes which defeats the purpose of dining in and affects the actual quality of food. I think if the drinks were flowing , diners wouldn't mind waiting on food. It wasn't a cheap dining experience either, as our bill came to about R3000. Which puts a very bitter taste in one's mouth when you not really experiencing what the Brand advertises. This definitely changed our first experience at Mamacita's and will be two minded to visit another branch.

    I have visited this establishment on two previous occasions and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences, which made this third visit particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, the service was slow and lacked attentiveness throughout our visit. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items such as straws and cutlery. At one point, after one person at our table placed an order for a main course, the waitress inexplicably walked away without asking the other two diners if they wished to order as well. While I did not time the wait for our main meals, it felt excessively long, especially considering that the restaurant did not appear to be particularly busy. Additionally, the managers, supervisors, and front-of-house staff seemed far more interested in watching the soccer than ensuring that diners were having a positive experience. We did not request to speak to a manager before leaving, as they were already occupied dealing with another visibly dissatisfied customer. Overall, this visit was a significant disappointment compared to our previous experiences.

    Arrived to be told they didn’t have my booking after receiving confirmation on WhatsApp and through dineplan. Was then shown to a table which was not where we requested to sit, we were told just to wait 10 mins and they will move us. We waited 15 minutes before requesting someone to come and take our drink order. Drinks weren’t as good as usual. We eventually moved 45 mins later and ordered food. Some items were out of stock but food was average. We had to call the waitress numerous times to come and take away our plates and clear glasses. My fourth time going back to Mamacita’s as we’ve had a great time every other time but sadly I don’t think we will be returning.

    The music was a little loud inside but asked them to turn down and they did, overall had a great time.

    Dessert has changed , was unexpected so thats the only think i can fault, cocktails and food were devineee
