Situated on the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains in Somerset West, The Millhouse Kitchen offers a beautiful venue to enjoy a meal or celebrate a special event.

Owner Rob Smailes and Chef Gustaaf Boshoff's aim is to create a neighbourhood feel where guests can relax while enjoying a meal together. Our menus are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and children are always welcome..

    The kiddies area is great, but as a restaurant experiance not so good. Service was a bit all over the place and the food lacked definition and was rather mediocre. Pity as it's such a lovely setting.

    We were a group of 23 and, unfortunately, our reservation coincided with two other group bookings. Consequently, our party was split across two tables, and the noise level in the venue made meaningful conversation extremely difficult. For any future bookings, we have to make sure to be seated in the Glasshouse rather than The Gallery, as the environment there is more conducive to group interaction and a pleasant dining experience.
