Located in the heart of Gauteng’s busiest tourism route, Molitva is perfectly positioned in The Cradle of Humankind. A mere 3km’s from the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, this country gem is a quick turn off Kromdraai Road. Specialising in fresh, organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables, Molitva’s mouthwatering food menu will charm any tastebuds. The menu is largely centered around a range of mezze and tapas styled foods from various Mediterranean cuisines, but also offers those that prefer something a little more substantial; homemade pasta’s, an array of salads, a selection of grills and a variety of appetizing burgers.

Head chef and part owner, Milan Cerimaj describes Molitva’s cuisine as “Orthodox Mediterranean” with subtle twists and adaptations.

Surrounded by the green, lush countryside and mountainous views, this restaurant and pub is the perfect setting for a day out with the family, a romantic date or a time to kick back and relax with friends.

We celebrated an 18th Sunday birthday lunch out on the terrace under the trees. The food was divine, look forward to coming back

Slow service. Clueless waiter. And a bar with nothing behind it. Hard pass. Our waiter moved at geological speed and somehow knew less about the menu than we did (when asking what sauce was in a particular pasta, his answer was "normal"), every question was met with a blank stare, an "I'll check", followed by a vanishing act. I tried to salvage the night with cocktails, but the bar was basically a museum of empty bottles. "We're out of that... And that... And that too." After 3 failed orders, I settled for whatever they did have. For the prices they're charging, you'd expect at least basic competence - or, wild idea - ingredients. Overall, disappointing experience which is a shame, because the venue has amazing potential.

This is the fourth - maybe more - times we've been to this restaurant and were joined by friends for their first time. Whilst we loved the overall time there we were very disappointed by one of this dishes that was mislabelled on the menu and when we addressed this we were met with 'well it should have been labelled differently on the menu' approach We also had to ask for many many many things when our food was delivered and it was all brought to the table piecemeal rather than at once Its the first time we've experienced this and considering we were one of only a handful of tables it was disappointing

Everything was subpar. False advertising. Shocking experience to say the least.

I've been curious about Molitva for the past 3 years and finally was able to visit (Twice in two weekends!!) We visited last weekend - needing a space to enjoy time together out in nature - away from the hustle and bustle of life and malls - and this is exactly what we found! The staff were absolutely amazing - we couldn't discern between management and waitrons as all were professional (fed our sense of humour) and took exceptional care of us. The food was absolutely delectable - we tried a few dips and starters and had no room left for mains - hence the second visit in such a short space of time as we had to return for the fish and steak (which did not disappoint)> A third and many more visits are definitely on our dance cards!

We had the line fish for lunch. It was quite expensive, but worth every penny. Our waiter, Sandra, was absolutely amazing, she attended to our every need and made our dining experience truly enjoyable.
