    Food presentation very good. But way too over priced for what you get. Service not great. Had to wait almost an hour for food to arrive. Couldn't find a waitron to assist us most of the time.

    The waitresses should have more training on pouring champagne because they messed quite a bit whilst pouring. It would great more ambiance if subtle music was played in the background or if there was a signature scent in the room. Also would suggest the waitress speak louder and hold more presence when explaining her menus. But generally had a lovely afternoon high tea and the food was superb.

    The only other High Tea that I can compare the Saxon Hotel with is the Savoy in London - it is definitely top class. The quality of food, service and staff knowledge is of a very high standard. I look forward to my next visit. Bravo!

    The food & service was super great. But sadly the huge noise of drilling and construction that was going on disrupted our hope of good ambiance to celebrate the birthday of my 75 years friend! The staff tried their best and moved us to another location at the restaurant but the noise was their too. I wish I was informed in advance about the construction noise so we could plan for another place!?

    Thank you to Chef Matthew for a really delicious High Tea. Both the Savoury and Sweet selections were beautifully presented with incredible ‘mixes’ of unusual and enjoyable flavours. Thank you Elekana for your superb service, your wonderful knowledge of the different teas (apologies for being the ‘pleb’ who never drinks tea!’) Than you too Cha-Wen (Hope I got that right?), Thabang and Lindo who so kindly showed us around. A wonderful, enjoyable and ‘delicious’ afternoon. Thank you again Chef Matthew,
