Named after two streets in New York City, Mulberry & Prince is the brainchild of foodie friends and co-owners, Cornel Mostert and Cynthia Rivera, who met whilst studying at The Culinary Institute of America. The perfect fusion of South African and American, Cynthia grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and Cornel was born and bred in the Mother City. The pair's combined experience stretches to some of the world's top international kitchens including Noma in Copenhagen, Alinea in Chicago and The Modern in New York City. "Everything from the food, to the decor and music thats playing reflects both of our personalities, all coming together in an intriguing space," says Cornel Mostert, co-owner and chef.

The eggs Royale was well cooked and presented. I really enjoyed the little herb salad that accompanied it. I thought at R230 it was slightly overpriced. The chocolate flapjacks (R195 for 3) had great flavor but the texture of the flapjacks was not fluffy as I expected them to be. Nice decor but the space felt a bit sterile.

Best pancakes ever! As a tourist travelling alone, I would have appreciated WIFI however as a service even if it was limited in time or for a supplement…just long enough to find my way in the city or order a taxi online.

It is a bit expensive but when you see the portion sizes and taste the food, it's all worth it. I had their brioche French toast and loved it! The way my knife cut through it like a hot knife through butter... Staff are all super friendly and accommodating and we loved our waitress whose vibe really matched our own. Will definitely be back!

Food was amazing, staff friendly and hospitable. Venue was clean and uncluttered with loads of natural lighting. Would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in great food quality and a pleasant ambience.
