Named after two streets in New York City, Mulberry & Prince is the brainchild of foodie friends and co-owners, Cornel Mostert and Cynthia Rivera, who met whilst studying at The Culinary Institute of America. The perfect fusion of South African and American, Cynthia grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and Cornel was born and bred in the Mother City. The pair's combined experience stretches to some of the world's top international kitchens including Noma in Copenhagen, Alinea in Chicago and The Modern in New York City. "Everything from the food, to the decor and music thats playing reflects both of our personalities, all coming together in an intriguing space," says Cornel Mostert, co-owner and chef.

The menu changed from previous , and the new menu isn't as satisfying as the one that was there previously.

It's my second time at Mulberry & Prince and it will surely not be my last. The quality of the food is absolutely amazing and I enjoyed every bit of it. It was a hot day and wanted to catch the breeze outside this time but seating wasn't very comfortable outside. The service and food was still amazing.

I feel the ambience and asthetic was abit disappointing. I expected such an expenisve place to have wifi atleast! the food was good but value for R 185 as least expensive meal is abit much. I feel this place is a once off to go to just for the experience. The straweberry iced matcha was not nice, the seating place was abit cramped and lots of noise you cannot hear each other speaking, but overall experience was just nice not amazing,I expected better

First time dining here. The service was good, presentation impressivand the food was good. . The pancakes could have had more cream. The beverages were enjoyable, especially the decorative designs on top. The brûlée hot chocolate was exceptionally sweet. I had the chicken waffle, the chicken was crispy and tasty, but the waffle felt a bit heavy and would have benefited from a side salad as an accompaniment. The syrup was sweet but a nice touch. While it may be well priced for overseas holidaymakers, it felt expensive for locals. Overall, enjoyable for a once-off experience.
