Named after two streets in New York City, Mulberry & Prince is the brainchild of foodie friends and co-owners, Cornel Mostert and Cynthia Rivera, who met whilst studying at The Culinary Institute of America. The perfect fusion of South African and American, Cynthia grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and Cornel was born and bred in the Mother City. The pair's combined experience stretches to some of the world's top international kitchens including Noma in Copenhagen, Alinea in Chicago and The Modern in New York City. "Everything from the food, to the decor and music thats playing reflects both of our personalities, all coming together in an intriguing space," says Cornel Mostert, co-owner and chef.

    I enjoy Mulberry and Prince more for the aesthetic than the food. The food options are alright and it was nice, unfortunately I don’t find it anything amazing or different - however it is very overpriced. The coffee is not good. I ordered a flat white and it tasted burnt, I did let my waiter know who then liaised with the manager - I think it was the manager or hostess - who then instructed the waiter to replace my coffee. While not as burnt, it wasn’t a good coffee. I did try a cappuccino after and it was also very very average. Food ordered: 2 x chicken and waffles (average) Turkish eggs (yummy) Crispy chicken muffin (good) Cheeseburger (average) Pancakes (nice)
