    We had the 9 course set menu. The Miso soup was spectacular, all of the follow up courses were very nice. Only the Wagyu Ribeye fell short of expectations. That said, this may be more a testament to the exceptional quality of Wagyu I enjoyed in Japan, where the melt-in-the-mouth richness set an incredibly high bar.

    Two senior patrons attended the 6 pm time slot. On arrival we were immediately seated with our menu presented and served water to the table and a drinks request. These were expedited very quickly and meal order taken. A flavoursome appetiser was given on the base of a Bonsai tree.. v novel. We had the ceviche, crispy squid, salmon sashimi and spareribs. To finish we had the matcha cheese cake which was super delicious. The selection of wines was very comprehensive and our wait person extremely proficient and welcoming. Highly recommend for a special fine dining experience with a reasonable price per head. This establishment was recommend by the owner of Rikku Japanese (they were closed for the winter) and he influences some of the dishes.
