Very underwhelming experience. Food and service was average. First thing, we get seated and the menus are in terrible condition. Looks like they've gone through a war. One of us received a menu that only had 1 page. How is that even possible? We ask for a replacement and what seemed like the main manager guy took the menu and threw a different one on the table. From then we should of got up and left. No idea of customer service. We then ask the waiter what are the popular dishes as its our first time here. She says the curries specifically the butter chicken and roghan josh as the chef or owner is from Durban. That is what we go with and choose naans as the sides. Food arrives, presentation was decent. First thing we notice is that the portions are very small for the price. Biggest disappointment were the "naans" if you can even call it that. The chef needs to go research what a naan is because what we got was more like a thick and rubbery pita bread. The butter chicken somehow tasted more like a prawn chaat, not sure how that is possible. Chicken was a bit dry. Definitely tasted nothing like an authentic butter chicken. Roghan josh tasted marginally better but the meat pieces were small and fatty. Not what you'd expect for the price. Only positive was that the strawberry daiquiri was ok. In conclusion, way overpriced and don't try the curries. Maybe the grills are better as that's what most people we saw there were ordering. But then don't have the waiter saying that the curries are the best because the chef is from Durban because that clearly doesn't mean anything.
