    I had a wonderful birthday experience at Omri. I was served by Carl, who is an exceptional waiter. His service was top-tier. As we were unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine and unsure of how to order, he guided us with great knowledge and patience. The restaurant itself is intimate, beautiful, and aesthetically pleasing. It created the perfect atmosphere for a celebration. Thank you to Omri and to Carl — you are a true gem. Highly recommended.

    Chef Joe is an artist and serves authentic cuisine from the Levant elevated to a fine dining experience. Our party of 7 all thoroughly enjoyed the meal which we felt was comparable or better than that we had at celebrated restaurants in Beirut, the UAE and Qatar

    Unfortunately, our experience at Amari this time was extremely disappointing, especially because I had specifically chosen the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday with two of our friends. We had actually visited Amari previously and had a lovely experience. The food was good, the ambience was beautiful and the overall service was great, so I was looking forward to returning for my husband’s birthday. Sadly, this visit was completely different. The service was incredibly slow from the beginning. It took a long time for our waiter to come and take our food order, and when she eventually did, my order was not taken correctly. I received a completely different dish from what I had ordered. By the time my correct meal arrived, everyone else at the table had already been eating for around 10–15 minutes, leaving me sitting there without a meal during my husband’s birthday celebration. Our drinks order was also delayed because we had initially said we would order our drinks together with our food. When the drinks were eventually ordered, my friend specifically asked for water because the food she was eating was extremely dry and difficult to swallow. The water only arrived much later together with the drinks, by which point it was no longer helpful. We ended up asking the waitress to take the unopened bottle back. Unfortunately, my own meal was also very underwhelming. I had intentionally chosen something light, but the overall quality was simply not what I expected, particularly considering our previous positive experience at Amari. At that point, we decided not to have dessert at the restaurant. We simply no longer felt like continuing the experience there, which was particularly disappointing because we had planned this as a birthday celebration. I will say that the manager did make an effort to try to turn things around. He arranged a lovely birthday plate for my husband with a birthday message and macarons, and I do appreciate that he tried to salvage
