Our family recently enjoyed one of the five best meals we've ever had at Ouzeri. Everything was truly remarkable! We order nine dishes to share and spent much of the meal ranking them, which was extremely difficult because it was all truly amazing. Halfway through the meal, our 13-old son inquired how soon we could return! To have under-16-year-olds dine at Ouzeri, you have to request this in advance. When I did, they responded quickly and warmly and we never felt uncomfortable with him (or our 17-year-old son) while we dined. The prices could be 50% to 100% higher and it would still be good value (though to be fair, coming from the U.S., fine dining in South Africa, in general, is much less expensive). I cannot recommend Ouzeri highly enough!

Outstanding dishes were seared sea bass, crab pasta, charred cabbage & the .???lll(stuffed savoury donuts) really good & interesting wine selection . Really cold & rainy night & our table next to window & door was freezing. Beautifully simple but stylish interior but heaters & blankets would have been welcome. Highly recommend

It was my 2nd visit, this time with 5 other guests. Food is fantastic, but need to raise a point or 2 or 3 - we calculated our bill and we all paid individually by debit/credit card. A few minutes thereafter, our waiter approached the table and said we are R3 ( three rands ) short. None of us had coins on us, and she stood there waiting for us to pay it. We found this quite upsetting after a good evening of dining. I eventually told her to take it from her 12.5% tip pls. Also - the waiter advised us all at 09h15pm, order now if you want anything "extra" as the kitchen closes soon!! We found this quite abrupt too. Lastly, I must share 2 or 3 of our group found your chairs very stylish but not comfortable at all, to use a dining chairs! I would appreciate a reply from the Owner.
