Good food, some excellent dishes, but not justifying the cost. The price seems to reflect that Ouzeri is trendy, rather than the quality of the food. Fine dining is not frying everything in butter. Once all dishes are soaked in butter they lose individuality.

Sophisticated, inventive cooking that focuses on the ingredients and is not overly fussy, resulting in some very memorable dishes (in particular the bread, the green tomatoes and the sourdough dessert which is particularly clever). Some pacing issues but overall an excellent meal.

This place used to be our canteen! We used to introduce it to friends, a go to. There was a change of menu, a couple of standards disappeared, halloumi, for instance, and it just felt it was losing its way. However, first visit in a while and all’s back on point. Lovely cocktail bar upstairs while they turn tables between sittings and a delightful small menu. My only disappointment is the need for incredibly loud music. I like to talk to my partner, not to have to shout. We booked a restaurant, not a disco! The Maitre’D, kindly, turned it down, no one complained. Result! Happy days, yummy food.
