Pablo at The Mint Hotel, sees the restaurant synonymous with brunch expand its culinary journey, marking a trip through the Mediterranean and onto the Middle East, as the establishment transitions to an all-day and full-dinner experience.

In keeping with Pablo’s ethos of family and community at its heart, the menu brims with sharing styles, breakfast and lunch mezze and small plates offerings, pizza and Middle Eastern inspired tacos while wood-fired grills are on offer from lunch and dinner.

The décor at Pablo at The Mint Hotel has a signature colour palate of teal and rust, pressed ceilings and layout which combines intimate lower banquet seating and more social bar height tables. Pablo restaurant embraces al-fresco dining with the inside flowing out to the patio and onto the hotel’s pool terrace with a sparkling view.

    My experience at Pablo was poor. On arrival, the seating that I had reserved was not available, as the hotel was undergoing renovations, a fact that was not disclosed when I made the reservation. The waiting staff was slow and not very helpful and we waited a lifetime for a simple omeletter, as the kitchen was apparently backed up. I will not recommend the Pablo at Mint Hotel at all.

    Booked for a large group breakfast; and each step of the process was hospitable and professional. We were welcomed and accommodated from the beginning and the wait staff catered to us with the utmost attention and care, in spite of our large groups size (<20 pax). A special mention of gratitude to the manager Darryn, who was very communicative and reassuring, as well as the wait staff who attended us: Bhekimpilo, Joe, Smangele and Khaya. And to the unsung heroes, those who ensured that our meals were served beautifully cooked, timeously and warm: we may not have had the chance to meet you, but we are grateful for your contributions to what turned out to be a magical day for our time. Thank you, Team Pablo. Long may your light shine.
